That is not at all a stupid question. There are actually very few people out there that know all the unique features of the Forex market. The Forex market is open for business from Sundays 5:00 PM New York Time ( 10:00 PM GMT) all the way through to Fridays 4:30 PM New York Time (9:30 GMT).
The major markets are Australia, Asia, London and USA. So it is a 24 hour opportunity and we all get Saturday off to rest.
I would be happy to answer any other questions that you may have. I find that the best way to learn is to teach and I greatly enjoy helping new folks avoid the hazards of the Forex marketplace.
